What To Do When The Passion For Living Dies?

If you’ve lost your passion for living, you must learn again to be surprised by the little things and realize that it doesn’t take much to be happy.

What to do when the passion for living dies? We must face it. Life is not rosy, much less a walk  full of happiness and joy.

The reality is that we cannot be happy at all times.

There are sad moments and deep sensations that make us lose our passion for living.

What does the future hold for us? Why do we strive for a tomorrow when today is so empty and difficult? Why does happiness not arrive or leave my side?

These are some of the questions that have crossed our minds at some point in our lives.

Many managed to overcome these unknowns and  find the meaning of their existence to improve their situation.

But keep in mind that the points discussed below are not for everyone. Therefore, read and apply them in your life, and you will see that the changes generated will be exceptional.

1. Let that weight you have on your shoulders go away

All these advices like “Cheer up and let the bad vibes go away” are well intentioned, but useless in most cases.

No one who hasn’t experienced what you feel right now can make you change your  mind all of a sudden. They don’t understand what’s really going on with you and you don’t want to explain either.

There is only one way to make all that pain and weight you carry go away and let it all be said; not an easy way: you must make up.

You must be in a state of  peace with what is causing you to lose your passion for living.

It can be many things and it’s not worth naming them all. But if you can forgive, forget or understand what upsets you, you will start to feel better.

However, to achieve this, it will not be enough to look in the mirror. There are several things you should do first.

2. The little things help to regain the passion for living

“Eat, Pray, and Love” movies have an interesting but somewhat unrealistic premise.

When faced with a problem  not everyone can simply put everything aside and walk around the world. However, among the non-explicit of the film, one truth is hidden.

It is not necessary to spend years traveling and not have a prophecy from some guru:  only you can return to a state of happiness and take the first step.

This advance will be slow and you cannot skip stages.

If you want to find the passion of living again, don’t move to another city, don’t travel with your savings and don’t go out just to get away. Find an old passion or something new, something small and simple, that distracts you.

Try this activity, savor it in small pieces and in the same way, do it with the others. Dedicate yourself to the things you love.

Not all at once, but  in small doses, until the mood slowly returns  to you. It’s a long step and can be a little tricky but you should definitely take that step.

3. Understand that while independence is good, loneliness is not

If you feel bad, you probably don’t want to be around people who keep asking about your mood or who don’t respect your space and time to feel that way.

However, this  does not mean that you should isolate yourself from the world, even if that is what you most want to do.

It’s good to have a time of solitude so you can discover yourself and understand things from another perspective. Just remember that when it turns into unrelenting loneliness, there’s a bigger problem.

To get the passion for living it is not necessary to have a partner or a friend to accompany you in all situations, not even less.

People like nomads or backpackers can overflow the passion for living they feel, but that’s thanks to the fact that they’re never totally alone.

You must share your time and experience contact with others. Find out what you like and don’t like about them.

We can do, learn and experience many things when we interact with other people.

4. There is no way forward

Remember all those things you were told at some point about what you needed to do to be happy, succeed, or become a great person.

Ready? Now take all those memories and throw them away. These “paths to happiness” don’t really exist.

If real life had paths to choose from, it would be very easy, but people like to feel that there is a guide.

All you need to remember is one rule: don’t hurt others. In other things you can do what you want, as long as you agree with it.

People will criticize you, judge you, even humiliate you, but nothing will surpass  the satisfaction of being able to feel inner happiness.

When that happens, you realize that the only reason people judge others is because they aren’t happy.

Now that you know how to regain the passion for living, only you can decide when to start.
