Vegan pie recipe 1 (vegetables)

Homemade vegetable patties

Ingredients

For mass:

  • a cup of wheat flour
  • 1/3 cup of warm water
  • 3 tablespoons of oil
  • 1 tablespoon of baking powder
  • Soy milk for brushing
  • salt

For the filling:

  • 1/2 cup of peas
  • 1 small onion
  • 1/2 red pepper
  • 1 small zucchini
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • a little celery
  • 1 teaspoon of yeast
  • salt
  • chili

Preparation

  • First, boil the peas.
  • Meanwhile, add all the ingredients for the dough into a bowl and knead very well. Then cover with a kitchen wrapping paper and leave in the refrigerator for half an hour.
  • Then wash and cut all vegetables into small pieces (except peas) and add a good touch of oil, salt and pepper.
  • Then, in a pan, saute all the vegetables, adding the peas until they turn brown and the liquids are absorbed.
  • Then take the dough out of the refrigerator and divide it into eight parts. Each part must be crushed and formed into a very thin circle.
  • Afterwards, add a tablespoon of the vegetable filling to each circle and close the dough. To do this, do not overfill the dough and close it tightly, pressing the edges with a fork. Otherwise, they will open and the filling will come out while it is baking.
  • To close them and make a golden layer on the outside, brush them with soy milk.
  • Then place the pies on a baking sheet with a little flour in the base to prevent them from sticking together.
  • Then, in a preheated oven at 200 ºC, bake the vegan pies for 20 minutes until golden.
  • Finally, enjoy the vegan pies, cold and hot.

  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • 1/2 cup of vegetable margarine

  • 1/3 cup of cold water

For the filling:

  • 1 bag of frozen spinach
  • 1/2 onion
  • 1 large garlic clove
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • salt

Preparation

For mass:

  • First, sift the flour and add salt and sugar.
  • Then, once these ingredients are well mixed into the powder, add the margarine at room temperature and mix it with the flour.
  • Then add the vinegar and water little by little, kneading continuously.
  • Finally, continue to knead the entire mixture until you have a uniform dough.
  • Cover with kitchen paper and place in refrigerator for an hour.

For the filling:

  • First, wash the vegetables.
  • Then finely chop the onion and garlic and saute them in a pan or pan with the olive oil.
  • Then add the spinach to the pan. If they are frozen, thaw first and wash thoroughly. Also, drain them so they don’t have any more liquid.
  • Once the spinach is added, stir it all up a bit and then cover the pot. Let it cook on low heat for about 5 or 7 minutes. Finally, remove from heat.

Assemble the vegan pies:

  • First, take the dough out of the fridge and divide it into as many pies as you can.
  • Then flatten the dough pieces with a rolling pin so they are circle-shaped and very thin, and add a spoonful of stuffing.
  • Then, close the pie well following the same advice as the previous recipe.
  • Then place the pies on a baking sheet with a little flour in the base to prevent them from sticking together.
  • Finally, in a preheated oven at 200 degrees, bake them for 20 minutes.
  • Now you can enjoy delicious vegan spinach pies!
