Ingredients

  • 1 kg of sugar cane
  • 5 green apples
  • 5 pears
  • 10 guavas
  • 2 cups of tejocote (400 g)
  • 5 liters of water
  • 1 cup of tamarind (200 g)
  • 1 cup of plum (200 g)
  • 5 tablespoons of Jamaica flower (50 g)
  • 2 cloves
  • 1 kilo of brown sugar
  • ½ cup of sugar (100 g)
  • 2 cinnamon sticks

How to prepare it?

The aforementioned ingredients serve to prepare up to 12 servings  of alternative and healthy fruit juice drinks. Of course you can do less or more.

  • First, peel the cane and cut it into several pieces.
  • Soon after, remove the hearts of the apples, without removing the skin and cut them into small thin strips.
  • Afterwards, do the same with the pears, also preserving the skin.
  • Also, cut the guavas and tejocotes into quarters.
  • Also, put the water to heat, add the fruit and let it boil for 20 minutes over low heat.
  • After the indicated time, add the tamarind, plums and Jamaica flower.
  • Afterwards, mix well and add the cloves, brown sugar, sugar and cinnamon.
  • Leave a few more minutes, until the fruit is cooked.
  • Finally, place the drink in a pitcher or serve it in individual glasses.

2. Cinnamon wine cocktail

Therefore, taking into account that it is a good option for toasting in celebrations and that it can be easily mixed with other ingredients, we propose a delicious cocktail with cinnamon, cloves and citrus fruits.

Ingredients

  • 6 carnations
  • 4 lemon peels
  • 4 orange peels
  • 1 liter of red wine
  • 1 ½ cups of  kirsch (375 ml)
  • One and a half cups of water (375 ml)
  • 1 ¾ cups of sugar (350 g)
  • 2 cinnamon sticks

How to prepare it?

  • First, pour the wine, kirsch and water into a large pot.
  • Then, bring them to a low heat and, while cooking, add spices, in a perforated cloth, and citrus peel, cut into pieces.
  • Afterwards, let it boil for 10 minutes and then remove it.
  • Finally, wait for it to cool and serve.

3. Apple cider with cinnamon and cloves

This drink is very popular at Christmas time and is made from the natural juice of apples. They are excellent alternative and healthy drinks.

It is always  advisable to prepare it a day in advance  so that its flavor is concentrated and more intense.

Ingredients

  • 1 glass of whipped cream (250 ml)
  • One teaspoon of powdered cloves (5 g)
  • 1 pinch of powdered cinnamon
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 cup of cranberry juice (250 ml)
  • 3 cups of apple juice (750 ml)

How to prepare it?

  • First, put all the ingredients in a pan, with the exception of the cinnamon sticks and a spoon of whipped cream, which we’ll add at the end.
  • Then bring everything to a boil and let it cook for an hour.
  • Afterwards, remove from heat and set aside overnight for spices to concentrate well.
  • The next morning it can warm up before serving.
  • Finally, serve the drink in glass cups and garnish with cinnamon and whipped cream.
